Chris and Holly chose the beautiful Syrencot in Wiltshire for their Valentine's Day wedding and it couldn't have been a more perfect match. From the moment we arrives, it was clear that they were fully on board with our relaxed, documentary approach, no forced poses, just the day unfolding naturally with all the love, laughter (and a few happy tears) we could hope for.

Both of them spent the morning getting ready at Syrencot, keeping things calm and low key. With both me and Sophie, both of us shooting together, we were able to be in two places at once; one of us with Chris, the other with Holly, picking up all of those lovely in-between moments that make a story feel complete.

The ceremony in The Glasshouse was full of emotion. There were tears, squeezes of hands and proud smiles from family as Chris and Holly said their vows. We focussed on real reactions, those closest to them, friends wiping away tears and the two of the completely wrapped up in the moment.

Speeches brought even more emotion (and plenty of laughter), before the evening took a turn for the wild, in the best possible way. The dancefloor at Syrencot was packed from the first dance onwards, with hugs, spins and the kind of joyful chaos that documentary photography is made for.

If you're planning a Syrencot wedding and are looking for a documentary wedding photographer, who'll let you enjoy your day without constant posing, this is exactly how we love to work. Real moments, real emotions, photographed by a duo who blend in with your guests and tell the full story from morning prep through to the wild party at night.
